Mission: BCCC Youth’s mission is to make more and better disciples of Jesus.

Vision: BCCC Youth will REACH students with the Gospel message of Christ, TEACH students to become devoted disciples of Jesus, EQUIP students for kingdom service, and SEND students into ministry.

Definition of a disciple: A disciple is -
One who is committed to following Jesus. (head)
One who is committed to being changed by Jesus. (heart)
One who is committed to the mission of Jesus. (hands)

Explanation of mission and vision: The Mission is why BCCC Youth exists and the vision is how we accomplish that mission. BCCC Youth’s mission falls in line with BCCC’s church mission of making disciples who make disciples. BCCC Youth’s mission comes in two fold - making more disciples and making better disciples. More disciples of Jesus accomplishes the goal of Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:19. Making better disciples accomplishes the goal of the next verse Matthew 28:20 of teaching the disciple to observe all that Jesus has commanded. You are a better disciple if you learn and obey how to be a disciple of Jesus. (James 1:22)

BCCC Youth’s vision is how we accomplish the mission. The Gospel message of Christ is the transformative truth of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Accepting this truth  and confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior is what moves a student into becoming a disciple of Jesus. Teaching students becomes the best mode for students to learn critical information about  following Jesus which can all be found in the Bible. The Bible is the best curriculum for becoming a better disciple of Jesus. The best mode to equip students for kingdom work is through small groups. Small groups are discussion based groups separated by age and gender for the purpose of equipping students with application of the process of discipleship for their specific lives. Sending students into ministry is how a student is given the opportunity for themselves to make more or better disciples of Jesus.
