This is what has happened.
- For High School, we had a great time for a bonfire night at the Kaaen's house. We had hot dogs and smores. We had an amazing time just talking hanging out and enjoying a nice fire for a Tuesday evening!
- For middle school, we had an amazing time for our movie night! We watched zootopia and ate popcorn and brownies, drank hot chocolate, and had a great time enjoying the evening in pjs.
- As far as what we have been teaching we have been teaching on creation for high school and Sunday mornings! For middle school we have been in an ongoing series of an overview of the Bible and just recently we have taught about the Gospels.
- For Wednesday night's for both middle school and high school we have been going over the story of Jesus, how he came to this earth and how he died on this earth! The theme of this Gospel series has been "The Love of God!" Ask your kid about what they have been learning about God's love when you are at home with them!
This is what is happening this week.
- Regular Tuesday night youth group for high school and regular Wednesday night for Middle school (6:30-8:30 PM for high school) (6:30-8 PM for middle school)
- We are continuing our series where we are explaining the Gospel. This series will go all the way to the first week of December. In this order...Creation, Fall (of mankind), Redemption, New Creation/Growth. This week I am explaining the resurrection of Jesus; and that God has given us a second chance through Jesus. Explaining the Gospel in this way has been happening for both the middle school and high school students. Both ages need either an explanation of the gospel so that they can consider what Jesus did for them and what it actually means for them, as well as a reminder of what the Gospel is.
This is what is going to happen in the future.
Next Tuesday night for high school students...
- We will be doing a game night for high schoolers next week. We want to create a space where students can take a break from school, hang out, and play some games that create community where they can encourage each other. We will be playing some organized group games that evening and chill games like card games and ping pong; we want to give students an opportunity to take a break from school.
- For Jr Highers (7-8th grade) we will be doing a bowling night on November 20th at Elkhorn lanes! Before you attend this event you need to sign up on either the bake city christian app or the website...(https://www.bakercitychristian.com/students) It is $5 and we will provide a snack for the evening as well. If they want to buy anything else for food, they are more than willing to bring more money and purchase food at the bowling alley themselves. This will be during regular youth group time from 6:30-8 PM! Excited to see you there!
